Upload rules

Images uploaded to Photogen need to be of good quality. If the quality is not up to scratch they will not be approved and added to the site.

Images must be your own, and you must be the copyright holder.

Guidelines for new images are laid out below:

Image specs

File type: JPEG
Minimum size: 1024×800

Image quality

We’re looking for good quality, well-composed images - so no blurry, out-of-focus snapshots, please.

Ensure that images are well lit, and correctly exposed.

Use an image editor, such as Photoshop, to crop the image, adjust brightness and contrast and levels. Please ensure the image is rotated to be the right way up.

Please remove copyrighted elements, such as logos or trademarks.

If a person in your photograph is recognisable, you must have a valid, signed Model Release form.

Do not upload:

" Other photographers’ images
" Photos with watermarks or text
" Photos with copyrighted elements (logos, paintings, posters, adverts, etc.)
" Photos with adult content
" Photos with excessive noise, or JPEG artifacts

We really appreciate your uploads, but if an image is unsuitable, of poor quality, or there is any doubt about your ownership of the copyright, we will not be able to include it.
